Attack Host Sting on Wednesday
November 3, 2015 - Ontario Hockey League (OHL)
Owen Sound Attack News Release
The Owen Sound Attack return to action on Wednesday, Nov. 4 when they host the Sarnia Sting at the Harry Lumley Bayshore Community Centre. Puck drop, which is set for 7:00pm, marks the first meeting between the teams in the 2015-16 season after the sides split last year's season series right down the middle.
Just one point separates the Attack and Sarnia who sit in 5th and 6th in the Western Conference respectively, with Owen Sound entering Wednesday with an 8-6-1-1 record while the Sting are 8-5-1-1 on the year.
Wednesday's game also marks the beginning of Santino Centorame's captaincy in Owen Sound, after being named the 21st captain in franchise history on Monday, Nov. 2. Centorame is having a breakout season and currently leads Owen Sound with 15 points through 16 games this year. His near point-per-game production has him sitting in 3rd in league scoring by defenceman, five points ahead of Sarnia's Jakob Chychrun.
A consensus top three pick in the 2016 NHL Priority Selection, Chychrun is 2nd in team scoring for the sting with three goals and seven assists in 14 games on the year, while Maple Leafs draft pick Nikita Korostelev leads the Sting with 13 points on the season.
Sarnia will be looking to end a two-game losing streak when the puck drops on Wednesday, while the Attack are coming off of a strong 2-1 road win over the Flint Firebirds on Halloween.
Tickets for the game are available at the DJ's Furniture Attack Box Office, online at www.attackhockey.com, or by calling 519-371-7452.
The Weekend Preview is brought to you by Joe Tomato's on the Sunset Strip. Bring your tickets to Joe Tomato's after every Attack home game for half off wings and appetizers.
