Owen Sound Attack News Release

The Owen Sound Attack will continue to push for 4th place in the Western Conference on Saturday night when they host the Kingston Frontenacs on Faith Night.

Toronto Maple Leafs Alumni, Mark Osborne will be on hand to speak to fans following the game. Interested fans are encouraged to gather in section B after the game to engage in conversation with Mark about religion in sport. Life 100.3 Radio will also be on hand throughout the evening!

The Attack comes into Saturday evening's contest after a disappointing 3-1 loss on home ice to the Barrie Colts. Saturday's game is expected to be another sold out affair as the Attack Organization is becoming increasingly closer to eclipsing their previous single season attendance record that was set in 2005.

The Owen Sound Attack could also clinch a playoff spot if they win, providing the Peterborough Petes defeat the Sault Ste. Marie Greyhounds.

Saturday, March 3rd: Kingston @ Owen Sound - The 10th place Kingston Frontenacs have been pretty much as advertised this season and that is not necessarily a bad thing. General Manager Doug Gilmour traded away almost every veteran asset he had to establish a young, hard working team that has a chance of hitting the 20 win mark this season. The young Frontenacs squad is actually quite comparable to the 2007/2008 version of the Owen Sound Attack, on pace to finish with similar goals for totals (200), Goals Against totals (290), winning percentage and points.

Look Out For - Ryan Kujawinski is loving life in Kingston. The 16 year old forward was dealt to the Frontenacs from the Sarnia Sting in the Ryan Spooner trade and has found his goal scoring touch. The rookie has piled up 13 goals and 12 assists in just 23 games since joining Kingston.

Tickets for Saturday's game can be purchased by visiting the Attack Box Office in the front lobby of the Harry Lumley Bayshore Community Centre or by calling (519) 371-7452. Game time on Saturday evening is 7:30pm.
