
Atlanta United 2 Signs Midfielder Toni Tiente to 25-Day Contract

ATLANTA - Atlanta United 2 today announced it has signed midfielder Toni Tiente to a 25-day contract ending July 16, pending league and federation approval.
According to the USL Championship's Collective Bargaining Agreement with the USL Player's Association, a club may enter into a Standard Player Agreement with a player for 25 days.
Born in Cameroon and raised in Paris, France, Tiente last played in United Premier Soccer League (UPSL) for Kalonji Soccer Academy (KSA) in Norcross, Georgia. Tiente was a four-year starter at Georgia Gwinnett College before his tenure at KSA, recording 21 goals and 25 assists in 70 appearances for the Grizzlies.
Named a captain his senior year, the 24-year-old racked up multiple accolades in his time at Georgia Gwinnett. Tiente was a 2020 NAIA and United Soccer Coaches All-America first team selection, set the program's single-season record with 11 assists during 2018 season, won two Association of Independent Institutions (AII) titles and helped the Grizzlies reach the Round of 16 at the NAIA national tournament in 2018 and 2019.
ATL UTD 2 (3-11-1, 10 points) returns to action Saturday, June 25 in Oakland, California at Laney College Football Stadium against Oakland Roots (10:30 p.m., ESPN+).
