Atlanta Dream Officially Unveils Team Uniforms

ATLANTA, April 3, 2008 - The Atlanta Dream officially unveiled the team uniform today to season ticket holders and commuters on the Downtown Connector with larger-than-life banners and the team's shortest and tallest players.

Two 36-foot banners featuring the Atlanta Dream's Ivory Latta and Katie Feenstra in uniform were unfurled from the top of Taz Anderson's Centennial Tower this morning as season ticket holders gathered at the base. After the banners were lowered, Latta, at 5 feet 6 inches tall, and Feenstra, at 6 feet 8 inches tall, entered the crowd, making their first appearances in their new team's uniform.

The home uniform is white with Dream Blue (sky blue) piping, Dream Red (bright red) stars on the sides and has the Dream logo in Dream Blue and Dream Red across the front. The away uniform is Dream Blue with Dream Red piping, white stars on the sides and has Atlanta logo in white and Dream Red across the front.

"We are excited to unveil our team uniform to our fans and season ticket holders today and are looking forward to handing it to our first round draft pick next week live on national television on ESPN2," said Team President Bill Bolen. "With this milestone announcement, we get closer to seeing all of our players on the court at our home opener on May 23 against the Detroit Shock."

The Atlanta Dream's color scheme is Dream Red and Dream Blue. In the logo, Atlanta is spelled out in Dream Red capital letters above Dream which is penned in Dream Blue capital letters and shadowed with Dream Red and white. Three Dream Light Blue stars surround the A of Dream with one star in the middle and a basketball propelled out of the star.

The Dream will tip-off in its first regular season home game on Friday, May 23 at 7:30 p.m. against defending Eastern Conference Champions the Detroit Shock. The team was officially announced as the 14th team in the WNBA on October 17, 2007. The Dream will be a member of the WNBA's Eastern conference and play their home games at Philips Arena. Other Eastern conference teams include the Chicago Sky, Connecticut Sun, Detroit Shock, Indiana Fever, New York Liberty and Washington Mystics.
