
Atlanta Adds Goaltender Barone

DULUTH, GEORGIA - The Atlanta Gladiators have agreed to terms on a Standard Professional Contract with goaltender Brad Barone, the team announced today.
Barone, 25, comes to the Gladiators from the Louisiana IceGators of the Southern Professional Hockey League (SPHL) where he has compiled a 7-7-1 record, 2.49 goals-against average and .928 save percentage in 15 games this season. The first-year pro has also had stints in Berlin of the Federal Hockey League (FHL) and Florida of the ECHL this year. The Medfield, MA native made his professional debut with the Everblades in last year's Kelly Cup Playoffs appearing in one game for Florida. The 5-foot-10, 178-pound netminder suited up for eight games for Boston College of the NCAA over three seasons between 2012-2015. Barone earned a 2-1-0 record, 2.44 goals-against average and .907 save percentage in his time with the Eagles.
Barone joined the Gladiators this morning in advance of this weekend's three game stretch Friday through Sunday.
