
Atlanta Adds Defenseman Flegel

DULUTH, Ga. - The Atlanta Gladiators announced on Tuesday that they have signed defenseman Jake Flegel to a standard professional contract.
Flegel, 26, played 11 games in the ECHL last season for the Cincinnati Cyclones earning two points (1g, 1a) and one game for the Brampton Beast. The fourth-year pro has skated the majority of his career in the SPHL registering 38 points (4g, 34a), 216 penalty minutes and a plus-14 rating for Knoxville and Peoria. The 6-foot-4, 216-pound defender set career highs in assists (14) and penalty minutes (118) in 50 games during the 2016-17 season for the Ice Bears.
In a non-related transaction, forward Nolan LaPorte has been activated from injured-reserve and is available for tomorrow's game in Jacksonville.
