About Tonight's Game: Two long-standing hockey clubs will go head-to-head this evening. Norfolk returns home after splitting a pair of games at Florida last weekend. After dropping their first two games of the season, the Stingrays are winners of their last three contests and currently sit atop the South Division. The Admirals are tied with five other teams in the division with four points.
Series History: Tonight marks the first of three meetings this week, and the first of eight games between the two teams this season. South Carolina leads All-Time Series 14-6-2. The two clubs had a couple of heated playoff feuds during the Admirals first stint in the ECHL. The Hampton Roads Admirals stung the Rays in the first round of the 1994 playoffs winning the series 2 games to 1. South Carolina defeated the Admirals in a decisive Game 5 in the second round of the 1997 playoffs en route to a Kelly Cup title that season. Both clubs have won three ECHL titles.
About the Admirals: Ben Duffy enters tonight's game riding a three-game points streak and is tied for the team lead in scoring with three points (1g, 2a). Forward Taylor Cammarata has also recorded three points (3a) and will be facing his former team tonight. Cammarata was acquired by the Admirals from South Carolina this summer in exchange for forward Grant Besse. Cammarata posted 31 points in 49 games played during his rookie season with the Stingrays last year.
