Dear Stampede Fan:
Since moving here to the Treasure Valley to take over the reins as the Head Coach of your Idaho Stampede, I have been fortunate to become involved with some of the fantastic community outreach programs here. I have teamed up with an organization called Athletes for Hope to get more involved.
For the next few weeks, I'm going head-to-head with 60 other figures in the sports world in a race to see who can raise the most money for their favorite charity. I have chosen the Hays Shelter Home, a program of the Idaho Youth Ranch, which provides a 24/7 emergency shelter that strives to keep at-risk children safe from the dangers of the street or an unsafe home environment while working towards repairing & reuniting families or finding a safe alternative living arrangement for each child. We are raising money to help 148 children recover from trauma & develop healthy coping skills with daily therapeutic recreation and weekly group counseling. This is a great organization that has such a positive effect on our community!
I am asking you to help and donate whatever you can. No donation is too small, and even a $10 donation provides one child at Hays Shelter Home with a therapeutic recreation session. It also gets us one step closer to the grand prize of $10,000, which would make a HUGE impact in the lives of these children! There are a lot of great competitors in the race and I'm going to need all the help I can get in order to win.
