Rome, GA - The Rome Braves fell against the Asheville Tourists 2-1 at on a beautiful day State Mutual Stadium in front of 4,024 fans.

The Tourists scored first in the fourth inning on a single by Victor Ferrante to score Logan Wiens who reached earlier on a double to left field (1-0). In the bottom of the fourth, the Braves countered with a home run by Concepcion Rodriguez (4) to left field tying the game at one a piece. The Braves held on strong until the eighth when Michael Paulk hit a sacrifice fly to push across Anthony Jackson who had reached on a double making the score 2-1. The Braves were unable to rally in the ninth and they lose their second straight at home.

For Asheville, Keith Weiser stretched his record to 6-0 having pitched six innings allowing six hits and one earned run. Michael Broadway recorded the loss for the Braves (1-1) pitching three innings and allowing one earned run and two hits.
