Greenville, S.C. - The Drive grounded into three double plays, left five runners on and went 0-for-3 with runners in scoring position enroute to losing 4-0 to Asheville Wednesday night at Fluor Field.

It is the fourth time Greenville has been shutout.

The offense combined for seven hits and no extra-base hits. Nick Yorke compiled three hits, his second three hit game in a Drive uniform. Christian Koss, Jaxx Groshans, Joe Davis and Tyler Dearden tallied a hit apiece.

Chase Shugart was tagged with the loss after tossing 5.0 innings and allowing four runs on eight hits and one homer while fanning seven. Brendan Nail fanned four of the six batters he faced.

Cesar Gomez, making his Asheville debut, earned the win. The righty hurled 6.0 shutout innings with four strikeouts.

The Tourists plated the first run of the game in the first frame on a Justin Dirden RBI single. They led, 1-0.

They added a run in the third on two wild pitches.

Asheville's lead grew to 4-0 in the fourth behind a two-run homer by Luis Santana.

Game three is set for 7:05 PM Thursday night at Fluor Field. The Drive's starter has yet to be announced while the Tourists are slated to start Misael Tamarez.
