SPRINGFIELD, MA- The Springfield Armor announced today that they have reacquired forward Alejo Rodriguez. Rodriguez was with the Armor in training camp, but was waived due to injury on Nov. 22.
Rodriguez, a 6'8 rookie who played collegiately at Iona College, averaged 6.6 points, 6.7 rebounds and 1.1 blocks in 24.8 minutes per game during his redshirt senior season in 2010-11. As a redshirt junior, Rodriguez averaged 9.0 points and 7.5 rebounds in 22.3 minutes per game.
Rodriguez will wear jersey No. 42 and will be available for tonight's 7:00 PM game against the Maine Red Claws at the MassMutual Center in Springfield.
