
Arkansas Aeros blow past Mississippi Miracles

GREENVILLE, Miss. - The Arkansas Aeros jumped out to a 30-16 lead after the first quarter and never looked back Thursday night in a 129-102 victory over the Mississippi Miracles.
The 17-2 Aeros, the No. 1 team in the American Basketball Association Power Rankings, led 66-32 at halftime over the Miracles (5-8) on their way to their sixth straight victory.
Mississippi had won three of its last four games. The Miracles last lost Dec. 28 in Springdale to the Aeros.
Curtis Haywood and Daryn Selvy led the Aeros with 28 and 27 points respectively. Jarred Merrill added 23, while Steven Alexander chipped in an additional 20.
Mario Myles (21) and Tyrone Davis (20) combined for 41 to lead Mississippi.
The Aeros are off until Thursday, Jan. 11 when they travel to Pine Bluff to meet their sister team, the RiverCatz, for a 7:05 p.m. tip-off at the Pine Bluff Convention Center.
