Arizona Sundogs News Release
Arizona (22-10-4) sits atop the Southwest Division with a three-point cushion over second place Odessa.
Sundogs Storylines:
- Since the All-Star break, the Sundogs are 2-0-0 with wins coming against the Wichita Thunder (4-2 on 1/18) and Odessa Jackalopes (8-6 on 1/19).
- Forward Alex Leavitt leads the CHL in scoring with 62 points (23g/39a) in 30 games...he currently owns a nine-game scoring streak, having tallied 19 points (8g/11a) in that span...Leavitt has failed to gather a point just three times this season.
- Tyler Redenbach ranks fourth in scoring with 59 points (17g/42a) in 28 games...he currently owns a six-game scoring streak, having collected 15 points (5g/10a)...Redenbach has failed to register a point in just one contest this season...He still holds a CHL season-best 21-game streak (10/19-12/15).
- Rookie forward Mark Kolanos tallied two goals in an 8-6 win against Odessa on 1/19...the two goals snapped a five-game pointless streak for the rookie forward...he now ranks second among rookies in scoring the CHL with 37 points (21g/16a).
- The Sundogs have the league's best offensive, notching a league-high 160 goals for. Laredo ranks second with 143 goals for.
- Arizona's powerplay ranks first in the CHL at 24.78%. The PP has also tallied a league-high 56 goals.
