Mississauga - The Toronto Argonauts have signed their first pick in the 2008 CFL Canadian Draft, Toronto-native WR Mike Bradwell.
Commented Mike Bradwell on signing his first contract, "I'm happy to sign my first contract and take the initial step toward becoming a pro-football player. It's a dream come true to sign with my hometown Argos; I couldn't have written a better script. Now I can't wait for start of training camp."
Bradwell, who was selected in the 2nd Round, 13th overall, in last week's CFL Canadian Draft was a First-Team All-Canadian after leading the CIS in receiving yards (958) and setting McMaster's all-time school record for receptions in a season with 53 in 2007. He played three seasons for the Marauders after joining the team in his sophomore season. Bradwell attended Leaside High School in Toronto where he was a multi-sport athlete who also excelled in hockey.

Personal: Mike attended Leaside High School in Toronto where he was the special teams player of the year. He joined the football team in grade 12 after years of playing hockey at a high level. Mike has two older siblings, Dave and Susan. He enjoys watching Family Guy on television and his favourite movie is Transformers. Mike majored in civil engineering at McMaster University and hopes to one day pursue a career in that field.
