Toronto Argonauts News Release
Mississauga - The Toronto Argonauts and Hamilton Tiger-Cats refuse to wait until the start of the CFL season to rekindle their rivalry. The two familiar foes will trade in their cleats for sneakers as they take part in the "Battle For Breast Cancer" charity basketball game this Saturday night at Sheridan College in support of breast cancer research.
The Argos squad, appropriately named the Courtside Boatmen, will dress a lineup that includes QB Damon Allen, DB Khalil Carter, LB Raymond Fontaine, WR Tony Miles, CB Leron Mitchell, WR Michael Palmer, DS Orlondo Steinauer, LB Chuck Winters, CB Jordan Younger and Game Day Coach/Community Ambassador Adrion Smith. The Boatmen will take on FB Kojo Aidoo, DS Sandy Beveridge, LB Renard Cox, OL Ryan Donnelly, LB Rob Hitchcock, LB Ray Mariuz, DS Wayne Shaw and DT Clinton Wayne from the Ti-Cats.
The Double Blue will try to carry their success against the Tabbies on the gridiron over to the hardcourt as they boast a 13-1-1 record over the Tabbies in their last 15 regular season games.
