Toronto Argonauts News Release

Mississauga - The 2008 CFL Canadian Draft will kickoff tomorrow at 12:00 p.m. ET and the Toronto Argonauts are ready to look to the future.

As it stands, the Argonauts will make their first pick of the day in the second round (13th overall), then pick 21st, 29th and 37th overall. The Boatmen will then pick three times in the sixth round (42nd, 44th and 45th overall).

The Argos dealt their first round pick to Saskatchewan on March 6 of this year in a blockbuster deal that brought CFL Most Outstanding Player Kerry Joseph to Toronto. Deals for former OL Sandy Annunziata and QB Mike McMahon gave the Argos two additional picks in the sixth round.

Media and fans are invited to watch the first two rounds of the draft via live webcast at CFL.ca or on TSN.ca. Host Rod Black and the CFL on TSN panel, including new TSN analyst and former Argonaut Duane Forde, will be joined by CFL Commissioner Mark Cohon to announce each pick.

The Toronto Argonauts will be holding media availability with Argonauts GM/Vice President, Football Operations Adam Rita, Assistant GM/Director, Player Personnel Greg Mohns and Head Coach Rich Stubler immediately following the 2008 Canadian Draft.
