ATLANTA, August 24, 2011 - Suffer from the Monday blues? Never fear, this Monday, August 29, Arby's and the Atlanta Dream are going to perk you up and put you in a good mood.
Beginning in the morning, from 7 a.m. to 9 a.m., Arby's and the Atlanta Dream, the defending Women's National Basketball Association's (WNBA) Eastern Conference Champions, will pick up the tab for Atlanta commuters traveling on Georgia 400.* Arby's team members and Atlanta Dream players, including guards Lindsey Harding and Coco Miller, forwards Sancho Lyttle and Angel McCoughtry, and centers Erika de Souza and Courtney Paris, will be at the toll plaza paying tolls and handing out coupons for Arby's menu items.
Later on in the day, workers and visitors in downtown Atlanta will be treated to a free sandwich from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. when Arby's will hand out its Classic Roast Beef and signature Beef 'n Cheddar sandwiches from its Mobile Event Vehicle. The Vehicle will be parked at 123 Marietta Street on the corner of Marietta Street and Centennial Olympic Park Drive, near the CNN Center and Centennial Olympic Park.**
Arby's Classic Roast Beef, the sandwich that started it all, features oven-roasted, thinly sliced roast beef piled high on a toasted sesame seed bun. Add some gooey cheddar cheese and tangy Red Ranch sauce on a toasted Onion Roll, and you have the iconic Beef 'n Cheddar.
"We want Atlanta to start out the week on a good note," said Hala Moddelmog, President, Arby's Restaurant Group, Inc. "What a better way than by helping commuters get to work toll-free and then offering a free sandwich in the afternoon -
"We are excited to partner with Arby's to pay it forward and spread the good mood throughout Atlanta," said Atlanta Dream owner Kathy Betty. "This is a great way for our players to touch the Atlanta community and say thank you to the city for supporting our team!"
*Free toll is not valid for Peach Pass holders.
**One complimentary Classic Roast Beef or Beef 'n Cheddar sandwich, valid only at the Mobile Event Vehicle in downtown Atlanta on August 29, per person, while supplies last.
