Everett AquaSox News Release
PASCO, Wash. - The Everett AquaSox were held to three hits in a 2-1 loss to the Tri-City Dust Devils at Gesa Stadium on Saturday night before a crowd of 2,613. The AquaSox are 1-4 on their current road trip and have lost six of their last seven games.
Everett took a 1-0 lead in the top of the first inning. With one out, Josh Stowers and Cal Raleigh drew back-to-back walks against Tri-City starter Ramon Perez. Connor Kopach followed with a single to left scoring Stowers.
Tri-City tied the game in the third inning on a two-out RBI single by Grant Little. In the fourth inning, with Tucupita Marcano first base, Dwanya Williams-Sutton laid a bunt down in front of the plate. AquaSox catcher Cal Raleigh's throw to first went down the right field line allowing Williams-Sutton to score the go-ahead run.
Little, Williams-Sutton and shortstop Xavier Edwards had two hits apiece for Tri-City.
Gabe Mosser (2-1) worked three innings of scoreless relief. He didn't allow a hit, walked one and struck out three.
