Everett AquaSox News Release

EVERETT, Wash. - The AquaSox rallied for three runs in the fourth to pull even with Tri-City at 4-all, then added one more in the fifth and held on for a 5-4 win over the Dust Devils on Sunday, Aug. 30, at Everett Memorial Stadium.

Luis Liberato was 2 for 2 with a double and a pair of runs scored and Conner Hale went 3 for 4 with a run and an RBI for the AquaSox.

Alex Jackson scored on a wild pitch in the first to give the Frogs an early 1-0 lead, but Tri-City put up three runs in the top of the second and added one in the fourth to put Everett down three.

P.J. Jones walked with the bases loaded in the fourth to put one run across, and Drew Jackson hit a sac fly to cut the Dust Devils' lead to 4-3. Erick Mejia walked and Tri-City went to the bullpen, but new pitcher Jerry Keel had as little success as his predecessor, walking Alex Jackson to tie the game at 4-4.

Then in the fifth, Luis Liberato singled and stole second to lead off the inning. Hale hit a liner into right and Liberato came home, but Hale was tagged out after rounding first.

Joe Pistorese continued his dominance out of the bullpen, earning his third save with 3 1/3-scoreless innings, no hits, one walk and three strikeouts. He entered the game allowing only 8.08 baserunners per 9 innings pitched.

The AquaSox are on the road beginning Tuesday, Sept. 1, for three games in Spokane, then finish up the regular season with another three-game set in Vancouver. Everett holds a four-game lead on Vancouver, and can clinch a playoff berth with three wins.

If the Frogs clinch, they would host Tri-City for game one of the first round at 7:05 p.m. Monday, Sept. 7, at Everett Memorial Stadium. Tickets will go on sale the day the AquaSox clinch, and will be available online at aquasox.com/tickets and in the front office at 3802 Broadway in Everett.
