Another Texas/Oklahoma Battle Tonight in Allen

Allen, Texas - The Allen Americans and Tulsa Oilers battle it out tonight in Allen at 7:05 pm at Allen Event Center, in the first of two home games this weekend.
The Americans and Oilers are meeting tonight for the sixth time this season. Allen is 4-1-0 against Tulsa, with the only loss coming in the last meeting in Tulsa.
The Americans are led by forward Darryl Bootland, who has 15 goals and 34 points in 28 games for Allen this season. Bootland and his line-mate Anthony Maiani are one and two in scoring for the Americans this year, with Maiani right behind at 33 points. Anthony Maiani also leads the team in assists with 24.
The Tulsa Oilers are led by Ben Gordon and Ryan Menei, who each have 35 points this season. Gordon is a minus 19, in 32 games played.
"These are big points for us this weekend," said Americans Head Coach Steve Martinson, as the team nears the halfway point of the season. The Americans will host the Rapid City Rush on Saturday night at Allen Event Center.
Americans Noteworthy- Jason Deitsch will play in his 500th professional game tonight, when the puck drops against the Tulsa Oilers at 7:05 pm. Deitsch joined the Allen Americans at the beginning of last season and was named captain midway through the year. He has 13 points in 28 games for the Americans this season.
