The Wildcats string of losses continued tonight in Halifax losing 7-1 in front of 4668 fans at the Halifax Metro Center. After a tight 2-1 first period, Halifax opened the flood gates with five goals, three in the second and two in the third. Roman Will was pulled mid-way through the third after the seventh goal against.
The Wildcats were outshot by the Halifax 32-29. Moncton was 1/4 on the PP while the Mooseheads were 2/4 on the PP. The game ended with a series of fights from Trask, Delisle-Houde and Penny. Three stars of the game were:
1. HAL - 17 Darcy Ashley
2. HAL - 48 Luca Ciampini
3. HAL - 22 Nathan MacKinnon
The Wildcats play Friday in Cape Breton. Their next home game is against Rimouski on October 9th at the Moncton Coliseum. Note the game starts at 4PM, the first Sunday game of the year.
*Right Winger Thomas Flynn was re-assigned to Summerside Junior A earlier today.
