MANCHESTER, NH - The Monarchs Care Foundation, the charitable arm of the Manchester Monarchs, had a successful day out on the links raising funds and having fun at the annual Monarchs Care Golf Invitational last Monday at Plausawa Valley Country Club in Pembroke, New Hampshire.
The Monarchs Care Golf Invitational annually brings together the Monarchs team and the fans. Proceeds from the event benefit the Monarchs Care Foundation and assists in the donation of merchandise, tickets and grants to the community.
"This annual tournament is a wonderful opportunity for the fans to meet the team at the beginning of the season," Monarchs Senior Vice President Cheryl Abbott said. "We are grateful for our fans support and generosity at not only this event but everything they do for us throughout the year."
The foursome from New England Superdome including Doug Leppert, Bill Butler, Mark Dunn, Gary Smith and Monarchs center Bud Holloway were declared the winners of the best-ball 18-hole tournament. Second place went to Plausawa Valley Country Club's foursome of Mike Chartrand, Nancy Chartrand, Rich Conlon, Steve Menard and Monarchs center Michel Leveille.
