
Worcester Sharks Make Several Roster Moves

WORCESTER - Worcester Sharks General Manager Wayne Thomas announced today that the club has reassigned right wing Ashton Rome and loaned rookie center Matt Fornataro to Phoenix (ECHL) Also, the Worcester Sharks have signed left wing Dan DaSilva to an American Hockey League contract. Per club policy, terms of the deal were undisclosed.

Ashton Rome has skated in 126 games with the Worcester Sharks over the last two+ seasons recording 15 goals and 11 assists in those contests. Rome skated in one game this season for Worcester and did not record a point.
Rookie Matt Fornataro skated one game with the Worcester Sharks this season and recorded an assist (0-1-1).
DaSilva, a native of Saskatoon, Saskatchewan attended the Worcester Sharks training camp before being released on Wednesday, October 8th. The 23-year-old has recorded 23 goals and 24 assists in 122 career AHL games with Lowell, Albany, and Lake Erie. DaSilva will wear #23 with the Worcester Sharks
The Sharks will travel to Glens Falls in New York to battle the River Rats on Friday, October 17th at 7:30 p.m., and then return home for the team's home opener against Providence on October 18th at 7:05 p.m. The first 3,000 fans in attendance will receive an All-Star FINZ bobblehead and magnet schedule courtesy of Charter Communications! All fans will also be treated to a pre-game concert at 6:15 p.m. by Joshua Tree, a U2 tribute band! Following the game, Joshua Tree will perform at the Boston Billiard Club of Worcester!
