B.C. Lions News Release
BC Lions Centre Angus Reid will be conducting a strength training clinic for explosive athletes on Saturday May 14, 2005.
This camp is open to athletes' ages 4-18 involved in sports that require explosive movements. The clinic will emphasis the basics and fundamentals of strength training and will include information on body posture, technique, and exercise selection.
"This three hour camp is designed to help get kids started on the right path," said Reid. "I want to stress the importance of knowledge, hard work and patience for young athletes fighting the growing pressures of steroid use".
Angus is entering his fifth season playing for the BC Lions and has over seven years of coaching experience. He is a certified strength and conditioning specialist (CSCS) through the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA).
