
Crysdale to be honoured at Presidents' Ring Luncheon

(Calgary) â On Wednesday, May 11th Jamie Crysdale will be honoured as the Presidents' Ring Award winner for the 2004 season. This is Jamie's first time receiving the award and the 4th Stampeder offensive lineman to win since the inception of the award 38 years ago. Bob Poley was the first offensive lineman to receive the award back in 1986 and Rocco Romano was the last offensive lineman to win it in 1997. In 2004, Jamie extended his playing streak to 205 consecutive games. Since joining the Stampeders in 1993 and starting his CFL career, Jamie has not missed a single game. PRESIDENTS' RING AWARD
This honor is presented annually at the conclusion of each football season to a player who is voted by his teammates as having exceptional motivational and leadership skills on and off the field.
The award was established in 1967 by then team President George McMahon and Stampeder General Manager Rogers Lehew. Stampeder Linebacker Wayne Harris was the first ever recipient. Here's a look back at past winners of the PRESIDENTS' RING AWARD:
