
Andrus Placed On Disabled Lis

Rome, GA - Infielder Elvis Andrus has been placed on the disabled list retroactive to Saturday July 15th with a lower back sprain. Andrus, a member of the 2006 South Atlantic League All-Star Team, was hitting .263 with 41 RBI and 16 stolen bases. Jamie Trejo rejoins the Rome club from Myrtle Beach of the Carolina League. Trejo was hitting .213 in limited action with the Pelicans.
Rome plays the Greenville Drive today at 2pm with the home stand continuing through Tuesday.
