Inland Empire 66ers News Release
San Bernardino, CA- Justin Anderson (1-3) threw seven innings of one run ball leading the Inland Empire 66ers (7-21) to a 4-1 victory over the Lancaster JetHawks (10-15) Thursday night. The Houston, Texas native had his best start of the season reaching the seventh inning for the first time while striking out four JetHawk hitters.
The 66ers bullpen also shined as both Jose Molina and Eduardo Paredes each pitched a scoreless inning in the contest with Paredes picking up his second save of the season. Offensively the 66ers were led by a familiar trio as Tim Arakawa (2-for-4 RBI), Caleb Adams (2-for-2 RBI), and Zach Welz (2-for3 R) all had multi-hit efforts for Inland Empire. The group was responsible for all six multi-hit performances during the series.
The 66ers start their six game road trip Friday in Bakersfield at 7:15pm. Jeremy Rhoades (1-4 6.00 ERA) gets a rematch with his mound opponent from last Sunday Tyler Pike (1-2 2.12 ERA). The game can be heard live on KPRO 1570 AM or on the 66ers Radio Network via 66ers.com.
