An Experience Like No Other: Join the Fighters' Squadron

Frisco Fighters News Release
Just about two months away from the start of the Frisco Fighters' third go-round, it's the perfect time to become a Squadron member.
Don't take it from us, though. The atmosphere speaks for itself.
Steven McNeil will be one of the first to tell you such. While looking for football tickets on Ticketmaster, he happened upon the club and now counts himself among the Fighters' biggest fans.
"I was addicted from the first game," said McNeil, who lives in Lewisville and works in logistics and property management. "I was hook, line, and sinker. I consider myself a football connoisseur if you will. I was definitely all in when I saw the potential ... If they're playing, I'm there."
Along with his wife, Angela, and son, Neikolys, McNeil made it out to five matchups during the final stretch of last season. He requested team sales manager Matthew England seat them in the front row.
"I said, 'I want to sit as close as humanly possible,'" McNeil explained. "I'm legitimately in the action. You get to banter the opposing players; you get to cheer on the Frisco Fighters ... It's a freaking amazing experience and it's cheap."
They were close enough to hear coaching adjustments, but his favorite part of taking in a game is going back and forth with members of the visiting crew - in an appropriate manner, of course.
"You get in their heads," McNeil said. "I'll say, like, 'Don't throw No. 9 the ball! He's going to drop it!' ... You're that ninth man on the field to help the Frisco Fighters win. I just love it."
Fort Worth resident Cathy Adame is heading into her second year as a season ticket holder. A friend got her involved with the Fighters. Much like with McNeil, it was love at first sight. It's turned into a way for her to bond with her 13-year-old son, Zaidyn.
"It's really cool just to be so close to it," Adame said. "These guys just move and the hits they take, it's exciting. I get into it, I hoot, I scream."
She feels nothing compares to the experience the up close and personal game provides.
"I think it's better than going to an NFL game," Adame said. "We went to a preseason Saints game in Houston, but you're way far up there and you pay all this money for those seats. The IFL, it's less expensive. You can go, you can enjoy yourself ... Every seat is a good seat."
That's not the only reason the condensed version is different from any outdoor game.
"I love the fact that there's never going to be a shutout," McNeil said. "It's high-scoring. No lead is safe ... You're always in the game. You legitimately have to sit for four quarters in your seat, because the game is not clinched in the third or the fourth quarter. The offense moves so fast."
Then, there's the unique fan engagement. Interacting with and getting to know the players adds an entirely different dimension.
"When the game's over, you actually get to hang out with the coaches," McNeil said. "You get to hang out with the players - get their autographs or have them sign a football that you caught on the sideline. There are not too many leagues that actually do that."
Squadron membership benefits include free parking, a discount on merchandise, playoff priority, a flexible ticket exchange policy, and an end-of-season party with the team. Also included are free tickets to Fighters Night at a 2022-23 Dallas Stars home game and a discounted rate for select Stars clashes.
Convinced yet?
"Don't even hesitate," McNeil said. "If you really love football and you want to have the ultimate fan experience, you've got to come to the Fighters game. Don't sit in the upper-level seats. Get down into the nitty-gritty."
The Fighters host Tulsa, Massachusetts, Arizona, Duke City, San Diego, Bay Area, and Sioux Falls in the months to come. To join the Squadron and be part of the action, click here.
