The Quad City Steamwheelers, defending Champions of the IFL's Eastern Conference, have re-signed offensive lineman Sterling Clark.

The signing locks down the trio of offensive linemen who helped push the 2022 Steamwheelers to finish 2nd in rushing yards (1,734), 2nd in rushing yards per-carry (4.8), 3rd in rushing yards per-game (91.3) and 4th in rushing touchdowns (50).

All-IFL Rookie selections Joe Krall and Hunter Nobbs have also re-signed for 2023.

Director of Player Personnel Ryan Michael told SteamwheelersFootball.com: "Leader is the first word I think of when discussing Sterling. His leadership on the field and in the locker room was a driving force behind our success last season. He also happens to be one of the best offensive linemen in the game today. I'm very excited to have him back and look forward to seeing what he brings to training camp."

Clark's proficiency in pass protection also helped quarterback E.J. Hilliard earn IFL Offensive Player of the Year honors in 2022.

"Sterling is all energy and we love that about him. He is a very hard worker and values getting better every year. He challenges himself as well as his teammates. Excited to see his growth come training camp. " said Steamwheelers Head Coach Cory Ross.
