
Ams Take 4-1 Decision On Teddy Bear Night

Jason Reese scored twice and assisted on two more as the Americans posted a 4-1 win over the Blazers on Teddy Bear Night on Saturday at ISC.
Johnny Lazo gave the Ams a 1-0 lead with Reese following up with a powerplay goal for a 2-0 Tri-Cities lead after 20 minutes. Brock Nixon scored the Teddy Bear goal 7 minutes into the second period before Shaun Vey and Reese - shorthanded with 17 seconds left in the middle frame for a 4-1 lead. The third period was scoreless.
The Blazers outshot the Ams 32-24 on the night...including 19-4 in the third period. The Blazers were 0-for-4 on the PP and 1-for-2 on the PK. Chet Pickard picked up the win while Justin Leclerc took the loss.
Next up: a visit to Vancouver on Sunday afternoon at ISC.
