Kamloops Blazers News Release
Adam Hughesman, Blair Macaulay, and Jason Reese scored third-period goals as the Tri-City Americans rallied from 3-1 down to beat the Blazers 4-3 in Game Three to take a 3-0 series lead into Wednesday's Game Four.
Scott Wasden opened the scoring with his first of the playoffs as his centering pass glanced off a skate and past Chet Pickard...only to have Eric Mestery slide a backhander through Justin Leclerc late in the first to tie the game at one.
In the second, Wasden restored the Blazer lead with an early shorthanded goal with Tyler Shattock following that with a powerplay goal five minutes later to give the Blazers a 3-1 lead after two.
Shots were 36-34 Blazers with the home team 1-for-7 on the PP and 6-for-6 on the PK.
Justin Leclerc took the loss while Chet Pickard picked up the win.
Game Four goes Wednesday in Kamloops.
