The Americans will host the Vancouver Giants today at the Toyota Center, wrapping up a four-game season series between the two teams. Tri-City is 1-1-1-0 against the Giants so far this season.
The two teams last met in Kennewick on February 5th when Vancouver took a 4-1 victory. Reese Belton netted the Ams lone goal that night. Tomas Suchanek played in net and turned aside 25 of 28 shots faced.
Tri-City has already won back-to-back games this weekend, , winning 3-1 in Spokane on Friday and earning an 8-2 victory last night at the Toyota Center.
Jordan Gavin and Parker Bell led the Ams with two goals and one assist. Bell opened scoring midway through the first period as he put home a net front feed from Jalen Luypen. Tri-City held onto their one-goal lead before exploding offensively in the second period, putting up an impressive five goals; Gavin (2), Luypen, McMillan, Bell. Reese Belton and Adam Mechura added goals in the third period to extend Tri-City's lead to a final 8-2.
Last night was the third multi-goal game of the season for rookie forward Jordan Gavin. Calgary Flames prospect Parker Bell has recorded multiple goals six times this season including one hat trick.
