Rapid City, SD - The Allen Americans, ECHL affiliate of the Minnesota Wild, were shutout on Sunday afternoon in South Dakota, by a score of 2-0, taking four of six points in the weekend series.

Rush netminder Adam Carlson, stopped all 40 shots he faced to earn the shutout and the win. Jeremy Brodeur was equally as impressive for Allen, stopping 36 of 38 shots. Brodeur has faced 91 shots this season in his two starts and has stopped 85 of the 91 shots on goal.

"I thought we played a good game today," said Americans Head Coach Steve Martinson. "I thought their goalie Carlson (Adam) played really well and that was the difference. We had plenty of shots on goal.

The Americans streak of scoring a power play goal ended today at three games. The Americans were 0 for 5 today with the extra man while Rapid City was 1 for 7. Josh Elmes had the only power play goal of the game which turned out to be the game winning goal for Rapid City.

The Americans are now 3-4-0-1 with the loss. Allen is now 0 and 2 on Sunday. The team will fly home tomorrow to begin preparation for next weekends set against South Carolina. Tickets for both games are on sale NOW at www.allenamericans.com or call 972-912-1000 tomorrow during business hours.
