Rochester Americans News Release

(Rochester, NY)... Students at five area colleges will now be able to get "door-to-door" transportation to see Rochester Americans hockey and Rochester Knighthawks lacrosse games at The Blue Cross Arena, the teams announced today.

"We have been working hard as a management team to develop ways to connect students with our teams safely and efficiently," said Amerks President Lewis Staats. "With the introduction of this new shuttle and ticket package, we are hoping that students will take advantage of both the affordability and accessibility of attending our games."

Students at the University of Rochester, Rochester Institute of Technology, St. John Fisher, Nazareth College and Monroe Community College can now purchase packages with both teams that include a game ticket and round-trip transportation from their respective campuses to The Blue Cross Arena.

The package is $14 and includes both the shuttle service from Monroe School Transportation and game ticket. Student pick-up and drop off locations and times will be announced during the week of Monday, January 11th. Packages are reserved on a first-come, first-served basis.

The program, for select weekend games only, will begin on Friday, January 29 th for the Amerks game vs. Albany at 7:05 p.m. via the new *Americans Express* and continue the very next evening with the *K-Hawks K-Bus* when the Knighthawks take on Toronto at 8:05 p.m.

The service will begin with three combined shuttles to cover all five campuses, explained Staats. "We will gauge demand for this new service on a week-to-week basis. Should demand exceed the amount of bus seating that we can supply, we can add additional shuttles at that time."
