"We made a couple of mistakes that could have cost us, but Riley (Gill) bailed us out with some huge saves," said Americans forward Gary Steffes, who opened the scoring with his 12th of the playoffs. "This is a huge win for us and insures the series will go back to Allen."

Riley Gill stopped 32 of 34 shots for the Americans to pick up his tenth win of the playoffs. Gill denied the Nailers on all four power play attempts. The Americans failed to cash in on the power play tonight as well going 0 for 2.

"The late second period goal from Nikita (Jevpalovs) gave us a lot of momentum going into the third period," said Americans Head Coach Steve Martinson. "Chad Costello made a great play to get the puck to Arseneau who set up the play for Jevpalovs to score the tying goal.
