Allen, Texas -The Allen Americans of the ECHL announced today, that forward Spencer Asuchak, has been loaned to the Providence Bruins of the American Hockey League.

Spencer Asuchak played in eight games for the Allen Americans this season, scoring four goals with five assists for nine points. The 6'6", 230 pound power forward from Kamloops, BC, attended Boston Bruins training camp this season as a free agent. He was one of the top rookies last year in the Central Hockey League with the Americans, scoring 21 goals and adding 35 assists for 56 points.

"The Bruins are giving me a chance to earn a spot on their club," said Asuchak. "As a young hockey player, that's all you can ask for is a chance. Playing on such a great team in Allen helps you to prepare for that next step in your career."

Asuchak played his junior hockey in the Western Hockey League with both the Tri-City Americans and Prince George Cougars from 2008-2012. His best season in major juniors came in 2011-2012 with Prince George, where he scored 18 goals with 18 assists for 36 points, along with 71 penalty minutes.

The Allen Americans are back on the road on Friday night in Tulsa against the Oilers at 7:35 pm . The Americans return home on Sunday afternoon at 4:05 pm against the Missouri Mavericks, as former Associate, Richard Matvichuk, makes his return to Allen.
