
Driedger Recalled by Binghamton, IceMen Ink Meisner

EVANSVILLE, Ind..- The Binghamton Senators of the AHL have recalled goaltender, Chris Driedger, from the Evansville IceMen, presented by Coors Light. In response, the IceMen have signed goaltender, Ben Meisner.
Driedger has started 11 of the IceMen's last 13 games, winning three of his last four starts. He owns a 5-6-0-1 record with a 3.26 Goals Against Average and a .901 Save Percentage.
The Winnipeg, MAN native finished as the runner up in the ECHL's Goaltender of the Week. From Nov.24- Nov. 30, Driedger won two games with the IceMen and posted 1.50 GAA, and a .953 save percentage. He also won his first AHL game with Binghamton during this seven-day span.
Meisner joins the IceMen after starting the season with the Wichita Thunder, where he started one game, losing in a 2-1 shootout. The 24-year-old netminder played 24 games with the Fort Wayne Komets in 2013-14 going 14-6-2 with a 2.39 GAA and a .919 save percentage. Meisner also played 11 playoff games for the Komets, recording a 1.91 GAA and stopping 93.5 percent of the pucks he saw.
Before joining the Komets, Meisner played part of two seasons with the Utah Grizzlies. He has earned the ECHL Goaltender of the week honor for the week of Feb.17-23 last season. The Halifax, NS native played collegiate hockey at American International College.
The IceMen will return to home ice on Friday, Dec. 5 to take on the Kalamazoo Wings. It will be Mascot Night at the Ford Center so drop by and watch area mascots take the ice in a game of broom ball. Plus season ticket holders will get to enjoy a post-game skate.
