Americans Annual Kids Day Game this Monday

Allen, Texas - The Allen Americans annual MLK "Kids Day" game is this Monday, January 20 th, when the Americans take on the Arizona Sundogs at 1:05 pm at Allen Event Center.

This will be the fifth annual Kids Day game in Allen, as the Americans welcome the younger fans from all over North Texas to Allen Event Center for a matinee affair of hockey, as well as several special Kids Day related activities throughout the afternoon.

The Dallas Zoo will be out for a second year in a row to help with the entertainment portion of the show. A wide variety of kid-friendly animals are expected to be on display on the concourse, as well the return of the always popular penguins. There will be bounce houses for the kids, courtesy of ABC Clown Around Party Rentals and Hot 107.3 FM . Free gift certificates will be handed out from several sponsor locations, including free ice cream cones from Dairy Queen, kids pizza from Pie Five, smoothies from Smoothie Factory, and free kids meals from Boston's, just to name a few.

The Americans will have a post-game party at Splitsville, located across from Allen Event Center in the Village at Fairview. Free bowling shoes during the Americans postgame party at Splitsville with an Allen Americans ticket stub, as well as appearances by Americans players and Ice Angels.

Americans corporate partner, NBC 5, will be out handing out posters to promote their Anti-Bullying Campaign in conjunction with Title Boxing and the Allen Americans. Several Allen Americans players have taken part in helping raise awareness of this serious issue affecting our young society.
