
Americans Announce Tentative 2008-09 Regular Season Schedule

KENNEWICK, WA - Tri-City Americans Governor/General Manager Bob Tory announced today the tentative regular season schedule for the upcoming 2008-09 season.
For the first time since the 2003-04 season, the Americans will start a season at home, as Tri-City will host the Kelowna Rockets at the Toyota Center on Saturday, Sept. 20. Tri-City will also raise their first U.S. Division and WHL Regular Season Championship banners on this night.
The regular season will conclude on Sunday, March 15 against the Prince George Cougars. Of the 28 weekend home games, Tri-City will play 10 on Friday, 12 on Saturday and 6 on Sunday.
Tickets for individual games are scheduled to go on sale to the public on Tuesday, August 19th at 10:00 a.m, however the date is subject to change. Ticket packages for the 2008-09 season are on sale now at the Americans office by contacting an Account Executive at (509) 736-0606.
In division play, the Americans will face off against the Spokane Chiefs 12 times (six home and six away). Tri-City will play the Everett Silvertips 10 times and the Seattle Thunderbirds and Portland Winter Hawks nine times a piece. Tri-City will play the rest of the Western Conference, including Chilliwack, Kamloops, Kelowna, Prince George and Vancouver four times (two home, two away) each.
This season, Tri-City will host all six Central Division opponents throughout the season and make their trip through the East Division starting Friday, Oct. 3 and concluding on Saturday, Oct. 11.

20th Annual New Years Eve game on 12/31
Five Sunday dates featuring an opportunity to skate with the Americans following the game

Sundays: 5:05 PM
The schedule is subject to change, pending final Western Hockey League approval on August 7.
