LF Greg Porter's walk-off solo home run in the 10th inning lifted the Wichita Wingnuts past the Lincoln Saltdogs, 5-4. Wichita swept the three game series and won all the games in extra innings. Porter led the Wichita offense going 3-for-5 with a home run, two runs scored and a RBI. DH Kelly Hunt and 2B Brenan Herrera each chipped in with two hits apiece for the Wingnuts. Wichita relief pitcher Doug Hurn tossed a scoreless 10th inning to notch his fifth win of the season. With the win by the Wingnuts, Wichita now sits only a half game behind Lincoln in the second half North Division standings.

St. Paul 11, Grand Prairie 8

The St. Paul Saints rallied from an early 5-0 deficit to defeat the Grand Prairie AirHogs, 11-8. The top three hitters in the St. Paul lineup, 2B Alex Fonseca, LF Josh Alley and RF Brent Krause combined to go 9-for-17 at the plate with three runs scored and five runs batted in. Krause launched his 11th home run of the season in the process for the Saints. St. Paul reliever Todd Mathison won his third game of the season as he threw 5 2/3 innings giving up three earned runs on four hits. 1B Javier Brito was 2-for-3 with a home run, two runs scored and three RBI for the AirHogs.

Fort Worth 1, Pensacola 0

RF Ryan Patterson's single in the bottom of the ninth inning plated 3B Michael Bell from second base and gave the Fort Worth Cats a 1-0 walk-off victory over the Pensacola Pelicans. 1B John Allen was 2-for-4 to lead the Cats offensively. The Fort Worth pitching staff of starter Joel Kirsten and relievers Dustin Cameron and Scott Vander Weg combined on a six-hit shutout with Vander Weg collecting his second win of the year. 3B Marshall McDougall was 2-for-4 for the Pelicans in the losing effort.

El Paso 2, Shreveport-Bossier 1

El Paso plated a run in each of the first two innings and would make it hold up the rest of the way as the Diablos edged the Shreveport-Bossier Captains by a run. El Paso RF Jeff Vincent went 3-for-4 with a RBI while 1B Juan Camacho had a two-hit night in four at-bats. Diablos starting pitcher Justin Mallett was terrific in notching his seventh win of the year. Mallett went eight innings allowing only one unearned run on five hits with six strikeouts. El Paso closer Mike Cervera gave up a hit and a walk in the ninth inning but held on for his eighth save.

Sioux City 4, Sioux Falls 2

A good performance by starting pitcher Ty Marotz leads the Sioux City Explorers to victory over the Sioux Falls Canaries. Marotz went seven innings allowing two earned runs on 10 hits with a walk and five strikeouts. With the win, Marotz is now 6-9 on the year. SS Nick McCoola led the Explorers offense going 2-for-3 with a run scored and a RBI. Sioux Falls 2B Joe Anthonsen went 4-for-5 with two runs scored in defeat.
