Shreveport-Bossier got an outstanding outing from starting pitcher Luke Massetti to beat Grand Prairie at home. Massetti allowed one run on four hits and fanned six in a complete game effort. With the win, Massetti improved his record to 2-0 on the season. Leading the way at the plate for the Captains were RF Dwayne White and 3B Rich Paz. The duo combined to go 4-for-8 at the plate with Paz scoring twice and White driving in a pair. Grand Prairie 1B Cesar Nicolas led the AirHogs at the plate in the losing effort. He was 1-for-3 with a RBI.

St. Paul 9, Lincoln 5

Trailing 5-2 entering the bottom of the fifth inning, the St. Paul Saints rallied to plate three runs, tying the score. An inning later, the Saints again struck for three runs to go up 8-5 and never looked back. Leading the way at the plate for St. Paul was 1B Ole Sheldon who went 3-for-3 with two runs scored and a RBI. St. Paul CF Andrew Schmiesing also had a good game, going 3-for-5 with three runs scored. Saints 3B Craig Brazell continued to swing a hot bat, collecting three hits and DH Todd Self finished the game 2-for-4 with a run scored and three RBI.

The Sioux Falls Canaries were able to stop a three-game skid thanks to a great performance from the entire pitching staff. Starting pitcher Jino Gonzalez teamed with relievers Ryan Grant, Matt Reilly and Kris Regas to toss a shutout. Gonzalez scattered nine hits over 6 2/3 innings to improve to 2-0 on the season. The bullpen took over from there and did not allow a hit the rest of the way. Leading the way at the plate for Sioux Falls was 3B Trevor Lawhorn. Lawhorn was 2-for-4 with a run scored and a pair of RBI.
