Charlie Ruud sparkled once again for St. Paul tossing 7 1/3 scoreless innings to lead the Saints to a 7-0 win over Sioux Falls. He allowed four hits, walked two, and struck out two to improve to 5-3 on the season. Saints RF Brent Krause put the game away and put himself in the St. Paul record book with a grand slam in the eighth inning. It was his fourth slam in a Saints uniform, the most in team history. SS Steve Butler was a catalyst for the St. Paul offense as well, finishing 3-for-3 with three runs scored.

Lincoln 6, Sioux City 1

HR: LIN- Phil Hawke (10), Brandon Jones (7)

Lincoln used two long balls and a solid pitching performance from Jim Paduch to down Sioux City 6-1. Saltdogs 1B Phil Hawke went 3-for-3 including his 10th homer of the season to drive in two and score twice. 3B Brandon Jones added his seventh bomb of the year and drove in two. Paduch struck out seven and surrendered just a single run, which was unearned, on four hits. Ty Marotz started for the Explorers and allowed five earned runs in 5 1/3 innings. He dropped to 3-8 with the loss.

Wichita 8, Pensacola 3

HR: WIC- Kelly Hunt (14), Dustan Mohr 2 (10)

Veteran RF Dustan Mohr had a huge game, homering twice to lead Wichita to an 8-3 win over Pensacola. Mohr turned a 2-0 deficit into a 4-2 lead with a grand slam in the fourth inning and added a solo shot in the seventh to finish with five RBI. Wingnuts DH Kelly Hunt also left the yard as he launched his league leading 14th roundtripper of the season. Wichita starter Will Savage allowed three runs on nine hits in seven innings to get the win and even his mark at 5-5. The loss snapped Pensacola's eight game winning streak.

Grand Prairie 11, Ft. Worth 7 (10 Innings)

@ Ft. Worth, TX. Time: 3:31 Attendance: 2,491

Down 6-1 after two innings, Grand Prairie battled back to tie Ft. Worth at 6-6 and then put up five runs in the top of the 10th inning to capture an 11-7 win. 1B Javier Brito's double and CF Drew Holder's single each drove in two runs in the extra frame. Several Airhogs hitters had big nights at the plate including 3B Cesar Nicolas who belted a grand slam in the fifth inning to fuel the comeback. LF Aaron Garza went 3-for-4 with two runs scored, 2B Jonathan Dziomba went 4-for-6 with a RBI, and C JB Tucker finished 2-for-5 with a walk and two runs scored.
