Wichita LF Greg Porter was 2-for-5 with a home run, two runs scored and a pair of RBI to lead the Wingnuts past St. Paul. Wichita 1B Kelly Hunt also homered, and was 2-for-5 with three runs scored. Wingnuts starting pitcher Brad Davis had an efficient outing en route to his seventh win of the year. Davis allowed three runs on three hits while striking out six and walking four in five innings of work.

Fort Worth 8, Shreveport-Bossier 1

HR: FW-Michael Bell (10), Cameron Blair (2)

Fort Worth starting pitcher Jae Jung allowed one run on five hits in six innings of work to lead the Cats to an 8-1 victory against Shreveport-Bossier. With the win Jung ran his mark to 5-3 on the season. Cats SS Cameron Blair led the way at the plate, going 2-for-3 with a home run, three runs scored and two RBI. Including Blair, five different Fort Worth hitters recorded multi-hit games. Cats 1B Michael Bell also homered, belting a solo shot, and was 1-for-3.

Sioux Falls 8, Sioux City 4

@ Sioux Falls, SD. Time: 2:45 Attendance: 2,694

W: Ryan Ford (3-8) L: Nick Sottung (0-2) S: None HR: SC-Alex Llanos (4); SF-Tim Hutting (4), Trevor Lawhorn (5)

Sioux Falls 3B Trevor Lawhorn had a perfect night at the plate, going 4-for-4 with a home run, a double, two runs scored and five RBI to lead the Canaries past the Explorers. SS Tim Hutting also pitched in with a solo home run and finished the game 2-for-5. That was plenty of support for starting pitcher Ryan Ford, who scattered 10 hits and allowed two runs over seven innings to earn his third win of the season. Sioux City 2B Alex Llanos was 2-for-5 with a home run and three RBI in the losing effort.

The Lincoln Saltdogs pounded out 20 hits in the contest en route to an easy win against El Paso on the road. Three different Saltdogs hitters had four hits in the game, including C Shawn McGill, who led all hitters. McGill was 4-for-6 with a home run, a double, two runs scored and five RBI. 1B Phillip Hawke and 3B Brandon Jones also had four hits apiece. Lincoln starting pitcher Tim Brown allowed three earned runs on eight hits in seven innings of work to pick up the win and improve his record to 4-1 on the year.
