Milwaukee 3, Fargo-Moorhead 1-Box Score
Milwaukee Milkmen topped the Fargo-Moorhead RedHawks 3-1 in an extra-inning game Sunday.
The Milkmen took a 1-0 lead on an RBI single by 3B Garrett Copeland in the top of the third.
RedHawks' SS Yhoxian Medina scored from third on an error in the bottom of the eighth to tie the game at 1-1.
Milwaukee SP Angel Ventura was sharp, allowing just one run in 7.1 innings of work.
LF Adam Walker hit a two-run go-ahead home run in the top of the tenth to deliver the win for the Milkmen.
RHP Tanner Kiest was awarded the win for pitching a scoreless ninth and RHP Myles Smith was awarded the save for pitching a scoreless 10th.
Sioux City 10, Sioux Falls 5-Box Score
The Sioux City Explorers jumped out to a 2-0 led with a four-hit top of the first that included a two-run single by 3B Jose Sermo.
The Canaries tied the game in the following frame, scoring one on a bases loaded walk of DH Burt Reynolds and one on a sacrifice fly by RF Clint Coulter. One inning later, Sioux Falls took their first lead of the game on a 3B Jordan Ebert RBI single.
Sioux City scored on an error in the top of the third to make it 3-3. The Canaries regained the lead on a solo home run by 2B Alay Lago in the bottom of the third. Sioux Falls made it a 5-3 game with an RBI single by Ebert in the bottom of the fourth, his second of the game.
The Explorers cut the deficit to one on a solo home run by CF Kyle Wren in the top of the fifth. They would go deep again, taking a 7-5 lead on a three-run home run by SS Nate Samson in the top of the seventh. Sioux City added three insurance runs in the top of the ninth to bring the game to its final score.
RHP Ryan Flores pitched two scoreless innings of relief to earn the win.
St. Paul 3, Winnipeg 2-Box Score
The Saints took a 1-0 lead on a sac-fly by Matt Morales in the top of the second.
St. Paul added two runs in the top of the sixth to make it 3-0, scoring one on a solo home run by 1B Devon Rodriguez and one on an RBI single by Max Murphy.
The Goldeyes got on the board with a solo home run by SS Wes Darvill in the bottom of the sixth to make it 3-1. Winnipeg cut the deficit to one on an RBI single by Cody Young, but the scoring ended there.
SP Eddie Medina was sharp in the win, allowing just one run in 7.1 innings of work. RHP Landon Beck pitched a scoreless ninth to earn the save.
