Lincoln 7, Amarillo 0

A superb pitching performance by Lincoln starting pitcher Brandon Sinnery leads the Saltdogs to a 7-0 victory over the Amarillo Sox. Sinnery tossed a six-hit complete game shutout giving up only a walk while striking out four hitters. Sinnery is now a perfect 4-0 on the season with the win. Lincoln LF Matt Forgatch went 3-for-3 with a home run, two runs scored and two RBI. Centerfielder/RF Mike Provencher and C Chris McMurray chipped in with home runs as well for the Saltdogs.

Laredo 5, Kansas City 2

Laredo starting pitcher Matt Way tossed his league leading fifth complete game as the Lemurs beat the Kansas City T-Bones, 5-2. Way allowed two earned runs on six hits with two walks and nine strikeouts. With the win, Way is now 9-6 on the season. Offensively, Laredo 3B Uriak Marquez went 2-for-4 with two runs scored while RF Stephen Pearson had a two-hit game with a run scored and a RBI. For Kansas City in defeat, RF Brandon Jones and 1B Trevor Coleman each collected two hits.

El Paso 5, Grand Prairie 4 (Game 2 - 7 Innings)

El Paso completed the doubleheader sweep of Grand Prairie as the Diablos downed the AirHogs, 5-4. With the win by Grand Prairie in the suspended game and the doubleheader sweep by El Paso, the AirHogs now hold a 2 ½ game lead over Laredo and El Paso in the South Division standings. RF Welington Dotel led the El Paso offense going 2-for-3 with a stolen base, a run scored and two RBI. Shortstop Maikol Gonzalez also collected three hits and 3B Reid Fronk scored two runs. Diablos reliever Ronny Morla picked up the win as he threw 2 1/3 innings giving up an earned run on a hit with two strikeouts. Morla is now 3-0 on the season.
