Wichita 9, El Paso 0

Starting Wingnuts pitcher Ryan Hinson struck out as many Diablos batters (6) as had hits against the entire Wichita staff, tossing seven shutout innings and allowing three hits en route to his sixth win of the season. With Hinson blanking the El Paso lineup, Wichita batters had little problem putting runs on the board, plating eight base runners in the third through fifth innings. Wichita RF Ryan Patterson was responsible for three runs, scoring on a solo homer and batting in two more runs in his 2-for-3 night. Patterson's teammate Josh Workman went 3-for-5, batting in two runs and scoring two of his own.

Fort Worth 3, Amarillo 0

With the game locked in a scoreless tie with two outs in the bottom of the ninth, Fort Worth C Kelley Gulledge had the chance to end it in one swing. And with two runners in scoring position, that's just what he did. But it wasn't a single that ended the game. Gulledge left no doubt about it, blasting his seventh home run of the season off Amarillo pitcher Austin Chambliss. Gulledge also registered a double to complete his 2-for-5 night. Fort Worth starting pitcher Dwayne Pollock held down the fort, throwing seven shutout innings and striking out four Amarillo batters while allowing just five hits. But it was reliever Cody White that earned the win, tossing the final two innings and allowing just one hit with one strikeout.

Shreveport-Bossier 6, Grand Prairie 1

The AirHogs got the scoring started Tuesday night in Grand Prairie. But it was the Captains of Shreveport-Bossier who got the last laugh, plating the final six runs of the game to take a five-run win. The Captains' scoring got started when 3B Andres Rodriguez hit a two-run homer, his fifth of the season. It was Rodriguez' only hit of the night, but it got the six-run performance started. Starting Captains pitcher Richard Salazar earned his fourth win of the season, striking out three and allowing nine hits while giving up just one run.

St. Paul 10, Fargo-Moorhead 7

A four-run sixth gave the Saints their first lead of the game against the RedHawks. And three runs in the very next inning secured the win for St. Paul. The Saints were led by 3B Ronnie Bourquin, who went 2-for-3 with three runs and two RBI. St. Paul went on top 2-0 in the second, a lead the RedHawks quickly erased int he bottom of the inning. When the Saints gained a three-run lead in the top fo the sixth, Fargo-Moorhead had seen enough, putting eight runs on the board in the next four innings. Fargo-Moorhead 1B Jesse Hoorelbeke led his club with three hits and two RBI.

Gary SouthShore 9, Lincoln 6

RailCats LF Adam Klein went 4-for-5 to lead his club to a back-and-forth, 9-6 win. Klein batted in a run and scored a game-high four. Gary led 1-0 after the first inning, but fell behind by two runs after the fourth. But it was a four-run sixth that put Gary SouthShore on top for good. None of those four runs required an extra-base hit. Three came via two RailCats singles and one came thanks toa bases-loaded walk. Lincoln Lf Gavin Dickey batted in half of Lincoln's six runs, going 1-for-4 on the night.

Winnipeg 7, Kansas City 7 (In Progress - Bottom 11)

The Goldeyes and T-Bones have taken a back-and-forth contest into extra-innings, with the score currently tied, 7-7, in the bottom of the 11th inning. Winnipeg's Brian Myrow leads all batters with three RBI.

Sioux City 2, Sioux Falls 2 (In Progress - Top 13)
