American Association Game Recap
Published on July 9, 2015 under American Association (AA) News Release
Fargo-Moorhead 6, Winnipeg 0
RHP Tyler Herron threw a complete game shutout as the RedHawks cruised to a matinee win in front of a sellout crowd of 4,441 at Newman Outdoor Field. Herron kept the Goldeyes off the board, scattering seven hits and two walks while striking out six.
Offensively, the RedHawks scored three runs in the first thanks to back-to-back-to-back RBI singles from LF Joe Dunigan, C Zach Wright and DH Joe Staley. In the fourth, Wright added to the lead with a sacrifice fly that drove in 1B Joe Bonfe. SS Zach Penprase capped the scoring with a two-RBI single in the sixth.
Penprase and Wright had two hits each, as each Fargo-Moorhead starter had at least one hit. For Winnipeg, RF Jon Weber was 3-for-4 in defeat.
