Fargo-Moorhead 1, Winnipeg 0
LHP Jake Laber and the Fargo-Moorhead RedHawks got the better of the Winnipeg Goldeyes in a terrific pitchers duel. Though Laber left in a scoreless tie, thus taking a no-decision, he pitched seven strong, only yielding four hits. An inning after the left-hander's exit, RedHawks SS Zach Penprase doubled home 1B Marcos Rodriguez with the game's only run.
Laber's counterpart, fellow lefty Chris Salamida, had an equally impressive outing in a losing effort. Salamida went one out further than Laber did, also allowing just four hits. However, the Penprase double gave Salamida the save and RedHawks RHP Kyle Dahman came away with the win in relief. RHP Tom Boleska worked a 1-2-3 ninth with two strikeouts to pick up the save.
