American Association Game Recap
August 2, 2011 - American Association (AA) News Release
St. Paul 4, Sioux Falls 2 (13 innings)
It was a seemingly lucky 13th inning for the Saints against Sioux Falls in Monday's 4-2 St. Paul win. After being deadlocked since the top of the ninth, St. Paul got a two-run single from C Alex Garabedian to put the Saints on top for the first time since Sioux Falls tied the score at one in the second inning. Garabedian was a defensive substitution for Shane Costa in the bottom of the ninth and walked in his first at-bat in the 12th. In that inning, the Saints loaded the bases with one out but failed to capitalize. But St. Paul didn't suffer the same fate twice, thanks in large part to Garabedian. Pheasants RF Gus Milner led all players in hits, going 4-for-6 with one of his club's two RBI.
