Amarillo, TX - The Amarillo Sox fight back against the Laredo Lemurs late in the game to grab a 9-6 win in the first game of a four game series.

With the Lemurs trailing 3-1 after six they opened up the seventh with a walk and a Luis Uribe double that drove in the Jeff Vincent from first to make the score 3-2 Sox. Ernie Banks Jr. followed up with a single in a pinch hit appearance to drive in Uribe to tie up the game at three apiece. The Lemurs would keep the rally going scoring three more runs to take a 6-3 lead.

The Lemurs 6-3 lead held up for a full inning when the dam broke loose with the Amarillo Sox posting six runs in the bottom of the eighth. During that half inning the Sox sent 11 batters to the plate, scoring six runs, on six hits, with three errors mixed in by the Lemurs.

Lemurs reliever Chaz Roe took his first loss of the season and Trent Lare posted his first win for the Sox as he shut down the Lemurs for an inning and a third. Chase Johnson earned the save for the Sox.
